Urban transit has been part of my life since I was young. From my childhood adventures with my grandfather on the Edmonton transit to my undergrad days returning from the pub on the Toronto subway (TTC) and the Montreal Métro. Today, I commute to work on a daily basis on Ottawa’s OC Transpo. Public transit has, and always will be, part of my life.

My interest grew to its climax during my academic studies. Although I began taking a passive interest on transit during my undergrad, it wasn’t until my Masters that I really had a serious understanding of all the intricate details surrounding Transit Policy. In 2008, I completed my Masters degree (MA, Guelph) and defended my dissertation on the Feasibility and Cost-effectiveness of Public-Private-Partnership (P3) in Urban Transit.

While my career has has no direct correlation with Transit Policy, I continue to have a deep passion for the subject matter. The purpose of this blog is, really, to give myself a reason to continue discussing the subject. At the same time, I hope that my blog can act as a forum to facilitate public debate and provide some useful information to the public.
